Clayton Enterprises is located in Spartanburg, South
Carolina. The team consist of a unique blend of people from
various backgrounds. We currently compete throughout
the south-eastern United States, much the same as we have for the last 15 years. The
team was formed as, and remains a "Family Atmosphere", primarily dealing with
auto racing and motorsports marketing.
With the proven expertise of the crew, you can be assured our cars will
be in the thick of the action each week. The entire team shares a tremendous
enthusiasm for racing. We pride ourselves on the time-honored values of honesty
and hard work. We look forward to working with our sponsors to ensure that
winning goes beyond the track and into the sponsor's ability to reach their
customer.

George
Jones |
George Jones is an experienced mechanic with a love for racing.
He has years of knowlege with auto racing, and also helps field a car for
his brother, Ricky. Although, on race days, he spends time with
Ricky and his car, George has been a valuable resource for building and
maintaining our racing equipment.
George is married(Amy) and has one son("Boo") |
Chuck Cox |
Chuck Cox has been an avid auto racing fan for years, and has a massive
collection of die cast and model cars. Chuck is part of our race day
crew, and makes the race day preparation go smoothly.
Chuck is married (Dorine), has two sons(Ben & David), and one
daughter(Shannon). |
Rick
Ellison |
Ricky Ellison is our Engine Builder, and Chassis Specialist. He
is the owner of Ellison Racing Engines, and an extremely valuable part of
our team. Rick also has his own race team, and competes throughout
the Carolinas.
Rick is married(Cindy) and has one daughter(Sarah). |
Eddie
Gregory |
Eddie Gregory is now retired from driving race cars, but still has a
great love for our sport. He has a long history in racing, and
continues that by helping on our team.
Eddie is married(Pam) and has one son(Joey). |
Ricki
Lynn Clayton |
Ricki Lynn Clayton actually has several functions for the team.
She drives the "22" car in the Stock 4 division. She also
coordinates the fan club, makes sure that we have all the supplies for
race day, and works coordinates the race schedule. Ricki Lynn is
basically the glue that holds the team together!
Ricki Lynn is married(Wayne) and has two sons(Austin and
Zachary). |
Wayne
Clayton |
Wayne is the primary driver for the team. He has over 15 years
experience driving stock cars, and also works on them. He also has 9
years experience as a computer programmer.
Wayne is married(Ricki Lynn) and has two step-sons(Austin and
Zachary). |

Austin Stokes |
Austin Stokes is 11 years old, and is actively persuing his
education. He is a member of the band, and really enjoys
percussion. His hobbies include: Television, Video Games, and
cartoons. He also enjoys hunting, swimming, and riding bicycles.
Austin is single, and plans to remain that way for a long
time! |

Zachary Stokes |
Zachary Stokes is driver of the "21" karting
division of the team. He is 16 years old, and attends Byrnes High
School. He enjoys riding hunting, fishing, and kart
racing. |
Bailey |
Bailey is the typical "Shop Dog". When the construction of cars
begin, he joins right in. If you take an old rubber bushing off the
car, Bailey will help himself to it, and chew it into small pieces!
Bailey is a single Black Lab, and is looking for love! He enjoys
barking, swimming, and chasing sticks. |
Dixie |
Dixie is the "Apprentice Shop Dog". She is a three year old
Pomeranian, with a loving manner. Dixie is excited to meet new
people, and shows her affection!
Affectionately known as "Dixie Bell", she enjoys walking, playing with
her toys, and loves attention.
