USCS LANIER NATIONAL SPEEDWAY PRE-RACE NOTEBOOK

FAYETTEVILLE, GA - The United Sprint Car Series will open its 2004 "Asphalt
Thunder" Tour this Saturday night as part of the Checks-2-Cash "Spring
Explosion" at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, GA. Winged Outlaw
Sprint Car drivers from eight different states are expected for this event.

NEW TIRES SHOULD MAKE FOR RECORD SPEEDS: The USCS pavement pounders will
be turning the fastest speeds ever record on the 3/8-mile paved oval. The
defending and two-time USCS Asphalt Thunder Champion, the "Malabar Missile"
Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL, currently holds the LNS all-time track record of
11.320 seconds for an average speed of 119.258 miles per hour.

To break the 120 miles per hour barrier at LNS, a lap in 11.250 seconds is
needed. Many drivers feel that the new Hoosier spec tire will make this
possible. USCS officials have issued a clarification of tires legal for
competition for drivers who will compete or wish to compete in the LNS
event.

Hoosier Racing Tires are the "official" USCS tire and the following
compounds are legal: on the RIGHT REAR the legal Hoosier tire and compound
is a 17x28x15 M50 compound tire. The LEFT REAR tire compounds are 2020,
M20, 2030 and M30 compounds. The legal RIGHT FRONT Hoosier Tire compounds
are 2045 and M45. The legal left front compound is a 2010 or M10 or a
harder tire is legal in that position.

Additionally American Racer tires that were legal in 2003 may be used as
well. Hoosier Tires and compounds legal for use in the TBARA are also legal
for USCS.

"Since this will be our first event on pavement with Hoosier tires we wanted
to re-issue this info for everyone," USCS President Pete Walton said. "I
think this makes it pretty easy for almost anyone from anywhere to come race
with USCS pretty economically at Lanier. If anyone has any additional
questions on tires, or any other rules for the USCS "Asphalt Thunder"
series, please call USCS at 770-313-3477 or contact Competition Director
Billy Williamson at 256-363-2395."

Among the other USCS pavement hot shoes looking for a new track record and
an opening night win are the defending USCS National Champion Terry Gray of
Bartlett, TN, 2003 USCS Asphalt Thunder Runner-Up Jim Raptis of Marietta,
GA, and 2002 USCS Asphalt Thunder Runner-Up Doug Day of Winder, GA.

USCS GOES LIVE AROUND THE WORLD ON SPRINT CAR NETWORK: The Sprint Car
Network will broadcast Saturday night's LNS USCS event live on the internet
beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Race fans worldwide can hear the action live at
www.sprintcarnet.com. USCS announcers Larry Sams and Roby Helm will be
calling the action.

"We're happy to have the opportunity to share the excitement of USCS Winged
Outlaw Sprint Car racing on both dirt and asphalt this season with race fans
around the world through the Sprint Car Network," USCS President Pete Walton
said. "We'll be making history on Saturday night, as we will have the first
ever live webcast of an asphalt Sprint Car race on SCN."

Sprint Car Network and USCS will be announcing the complete 2004 live
webcast schedule in the coming weeks.

NATIONAL USCS POINTS COMING INTO LNS EVENT: Based on their victories on
the dirt track at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL on February 2-3,
Chad Kemenah of Findlay, OH and Joey Saldana of Brownsburg, IN top the USCS
National Point Standings. Kemenah leads Saldana by four points.

Sport Allen of Largo, FL is in the third spot, and is tied with Maryland
driver Curt Michael, and Shane Stewart of Bixby, OK. Danny Martin of
Sarasota, FL is in the sixth spot, followed by former Nextel Cup Champion
Tony Stewart of Rushville, IN, Jason Sides of Bartlett, TN, and Greg Wilson
of Benton Ridge, OH.

There is a two-way tie for the tenth spot between Kenny Adams of Malabar,
FL, and Canadian Glen Styers.

All this will change as the series is changing surfaces this Saturday night
at LNS, and a new driver mix will arrive. USCS drivers have a four-race
membership grace period for the 2004 season. This means that drivers who
have not paid their membership fees by the fourth race of the season will
lose all points accumulated.
